New Zealand fisheries assessment reportSummary: This report presents the results of a two-year market sampling programme on the blue moki catch in the target tarakihi bottom-trawl (BT-TAR) fishery and the target-moki setnet (SN-MOK) fishery operating off the east coast of the North Island during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 fishing years. This work was funded by the Ministry of Fisheries (gbsTo monitor and assess the blue moki fishery in MOK 1gcs), Specific Objectives 1 (gbsTo conduct sampling to determine the length and age structure of the commercial targeted setnet catch of blue moki in MOK 1gcs), 2 (gbsTo conduct sampling to determine the length and age structure of blue moki caught by commercial trawlers targeting tarakihi in MOK 1gcs), and 3 (gbsTo estimate fishing mortality of the adult MOK 1 stockgcs). Implementation of the sampling programme was subcontracted to the Area Two Inshore Finfish Management Company Ltd (ATIFMC)
