N2  - An Aerial-Access survey method was used to estimate the recreational harvest of snapper and blue cod taken from Golden Bay, Tasman Bay and the Marlborough Sounds during the 2015–16 fishing year. The harvest estimates for these species were of a similar magnitude to those estimates by a National Panel Survey conducted in 2011–12. Harvest estimates were also calculated for rock lobster and scallops, but these are not considered to be reliable for these particular species, as related fishing effort is not readily quantified from the air
