Presents the results of a study of the feeding habits of #A.forsteri#. Methods used were examination of gut contents, surface observations of seals feeding and examination of vomited food remains. Seals were studied from the rookeries on the Kaikoura Peninsula, Banks Peninsula, Otago Peninsula (mainly Cape Sauders), Nugget Point (Southland coast) and Bench Island (Foveaux Strait)
