Incomplete contents:
Some problems encountered when using Microsoft windows developers kit to create a user interface to an expert system (KES) are described. The solutions to these problems were not found directly in the manuals supplied but were generally discovered using an heuristic approach which became more refined as the problems became more obscure. An example interface using a 'simulated' external application is provided. It is not a 'complete' user interface as some functions are only present in rudimentary form. There are five files: testw.c: The user interface code in Microsoft "C"; testw.rc: The resource file where pulldown menus and Dialog boxes are defined; testw.def: To 'export' the window functions; textw.h: The include file for testw.c; testw.mak: The NMAKE file for compiling and linking
