At the position sampled the overall sedimentation rate was measured as 0.26 +- 0.03 kg/m2/yr. The results, however, could be interpreted as showing a change in sedimentation rate in the mid-1940s from 0.18 +- 0.02 kg/m2/yr to 0.30 +- 0.03 kg/m2/yr
