However the nutrient variation in surface sediments sampled by core was large, suggesting that the dredge and grab sample estuarine sediments adequately.

The grab and dredge samplers were more effective in sampling the surface sediments in firm sandy sediments, than in soft muds. However the nutrient variation in surface sediments sampled by core was large, suggesting that the dredge and grab sample estuarine sediments adequately.
