The February 2008 Foveaux Strait oyster survey was a joint programme between the Bluff Oyster Management Company and NIW A, and continues a series of surveys for Bonamia exitiosa (bonamia) infection in the oyster population, and changes in the distribution and densities of recruit, pre-recruit, and small oysters. A projection of disease mortality was made from the infected oysters with category 3 or greater InfectIons and used to estImate the effects of disease mortality on future stock status based on the 2007 OYU 5 stock assessment.
