NIWA internal data archiveSummary: The Rivers Network has been in operation for seven years. Field work has been carried out according to plan and no major problems have been reported. An audit of field teams was carried out in late 1995 by DGS and, in part, GGB. In this, the teams' preparation for field work as well as actual field work was scrutinized and recommendations made (in writing) for improvement, where necessary. The general report sent to field team managers is included in this report, unmodified. During the year there were 20 requests for data, the majority coming from consulting companies ; 5 came from regional /district councils.
