Ozone is monitored for a full year, with sunlight or moonlight measurements. Monitoring of trace gases has been mainly limited to times of the year when sunlight is available. Measurements of odd-nitrogen in one of its active forms and an active form of chlorine were made. Analysis of these ground-based measurements contributes to the understanding of processes. During the winter/spring measurements were made from balloons to determine how and when PSCs form, and of particle size distribution in those clouds. Profiles of nitric acid concentration from before and after that period were also made. (auth/DJS)
