| Summary, etc | The aim of this report is to document the data from which the overall tonnage of the recreational snapper catch in SNA 1 by North region residents can be estimated for the period 1 December 1993 to 30 November 1994. Some possible estimates of total tonnage are given. The report tabulates the recreational diary snapper catch, snapper mean weight, (and number involved in obtaining the mean) and the recreational boat ramp survey snapper mean weight (and the number involved in obtaining the mean) by month and the 13 Zones defined in the diary survey for SNA 1 and by fishing method grouping. Some preliminary data are given on how the diary snapper catch was distributed by fishing method (and fishing method groupings defined) and whether the snapper were caught mid-week or at weekends and holidays. Further tables of the same quantities are given with the Zones combined into three larger regions, and months grouped in several ways. |
