A marginalised two-part model is fitted to observer catch and effort data from trawl and bottom longline fisheries and used to predict both the catches and latent biomass density distribution for non-target species. Validation of model performance was achieved using data on ling catches, with the model able to predict known landings and vessel reported catches. The model was then used to predict catches and biomass from the top 22 bycatch species plus hydrocorals.
