Operating frequencies for use within, and to, Antarctica - 1969 - 16 p - Technical note / Geophysics Division ; no. 61 .

This note extends the predictions made by King for a further period of twelve months. In the absence of any serious criticism of King's earlier predictions, basically the same methods are used here and the comments he made in the above two references apply to this set of predictions. The following discussion on sunspot numbers is relevant to all the transmission paths considered here. Then the note is divided into two parts: Part A presents operating frequencies for use over the transmission paths McMurdo-Byrd (1400 km), McMurdo-South Pole (1300 km), McMurdo-Wilkes (2100 km) and McMurdo-Mirny (2400 km) - all lying within Antarctica. Part B presents operating frequencies for the Christchurch-McMurdo (2800 km) path. (auth)
